| Resist Shaped Scarves / 2-5 day workshops Resist shaping of fine merino wool scarves is an exciting and amazing workshop. Students will first lay out and evenly felt a fine wool scarf. Then the magic begins by the stitching, binding, and tieing choices and the mutiple dyebaths that will create stunning masterpieces. This course is available for 2-5 day workshops. 14 students Max. Beginners welcome. |
| Boa Boa Scarf Class Studio Workshop - Asheville, NC Classes are $85/day, which includes all materials and wools and use of tools. Bring your lunch and I will provide tea, coffee, soft drinks, water and cookies to keep you going. There will be handouts on each technique so you can continue working at home. Classes run from 10am to 4pm. Class size is limited to 5 students. Extra wool and felting supplies to take home are available from the Felt Store. I love this scarf which can be made into a neck wrap with felted button and loop closure, or longer for more dramatic effects! This scarf features an edging of soft, fabulous mohair, but if you raise your own sheep, goats, llamas, etc, you can incorporate their locks into this scarf. Open to all and beginners |

We will lay out and felt a scarf in the morning and spend the afternoon learning this technique. We\\'ll have dye pots going, and individual instruction to help you along. |

| Dyeing to Resist: Surface Design on Wool Felt Create amazing surface design on flat Merino felt by exploring the world of Resist Dyeing. This workshop will focus on dye safety, the development of a wide variety of resist tools from local sources, and creative and thoughtful layering of resist designs and dye color. Instruction is given for safely setting up a dye kitchen at home and an explaination why the dye and tools do what they do. Students will take home armfuls of brilliant samples to continue their dyeing exploration. This workshop can be either 2, 3 or 5 days in length. The longer workshops will cover resist shaping and direct resist dye applications. The 5 day workshop will include hand felting and resist dyeing of merino flat scarves. Class Size: 14 max.
